Game Graphics:

This is a common false impression that the best game titles are based on the best graphics. While having great graphics, this factor alone will never make a great game when other factors are not up to standards that match the graphics. However, discussed this, it is reasonable to say that when combined with other similarly important game design factors, great graphics can certainly offer a game an edge over as well as with lower quality images. A few examples of this would be the graphics abundant worlds of such game titles as Halo, Myst, Burial place Raider, Ff, Star Conflicts, and this is merely a few of many video games that could be considered to have great design. So it is safe to imagine one factor that is essential towards a good game, but that needs to be put together with other equally important factors, id for the game to have great graphics.

This factor is also a very important game design factor as it covers the point of playing the game, the goal that is to be achieved and the possible connections between elements of the game such as things or Non Playable Personas. While a game need to have a decent gameplay and storyline, again this truth will not likely make a great game by itself. When ever mixed with great images however, these two factors will give a game an edge over a competition. Gameplay can be either a simple process or a very intricate process but still make a great game, as we can see when we compare the game ‘Tetris’ to the overall game “Final Fantasy”. Both games were smash hits that contain so far remained in many peoples set of great video games. Gameplay in itself has many facets that add towards the complete Gameplay factor, that we will not likely explore here, but to name a few, a game designer would consider such things as, Storyline, alternate choices, natural physics, player interaction, etc. So again, we can see that this factor alone will not necessarily make a great game but actually will definitely contribute towards a great game when along with other important game design factors.

Game Audio:

The overall game Sound factor in game design is very much on par with Game Graphics. The caliber of audio in a game can help determine a good game or not. Types of this can be found in some of the first classics, when we think about games like Zelda or maybe the ancient Atari game called Frogger. Various of us can think of an old game that people can still plainly remember the sport music to, granted some were anooying, but most were different and addictive. Then approaching forward in game background we get to video games that rely heavily on the game sound experience, such as games like Silent Hill or Farreneheit. E. A. R. These types of games would not be practically as effective as they presently are if they happen to have lesser quality sound. Therefore again we see another important factor that needs to be added to a game to make it a great game.

Re Playability:

This factor of game design has advanced drastically over time of game design, as the goals and aims of our video games have become more and more advanced and more detail. To illustrate this time I will take you back again in game history to the typical ‘Tetris’. This game, and others in this category, were designed so that you play and place a record for that game, and then you play again and try to better that record. If it be higher details, longer time surviving, further progress through the game, or another type of score increase, finally your only end goal is to beat the credit score that has been established as best score. In that case in later game background we commenced to see heightened Re Playability in game designs with the concept of strategy game titles, where a player the decision that then determines how the game shall continue from that point onwards. Some of the great games of present gaming history that demonstrate advanced Re Playability models are such games as LOTR, where after getting performed the sport as a good guy, you can then replay all the amount as a bad dude, as similarly found in the Star Wars video games and many other video games in this genre, A different type of Re Playability is also available in some of the newer Star Conflicts games and a popular game named ‘Deus Ex girlfriend or boyfriend – Invisible War’, where the choices made by the participant determine the direction that the premise will take, meaning that each and every time you play it you have options of making different alternatives that don’t bring about death constantly but instead reshape the way the story originates to the player. This kind of game factor is indeed another very essential aspect to be combined to produce a great game.

Additional Elements:

A few other small issues that can produce a game a great game that may also be combined with the above factors are detailed here. To begin with, there is Character development. As you may move on further through the sport, your opponents need to get a growing number of challenging. As the opponents are getting gradually better this can be a natural summary that you want your character to grow with your opponents. The better games seem to be to give you a number of areas of your character that you could replace out or reconfigure or upgrade, etc, to further boost your characters capabilities. This kind of allows a gamer to mildew their character into a more personalised character, someone that the player can hook up with on some level.
